Efficient Australia Embassy (2004-03-08)
My husband needed a new passport, so he logged onto
the Australian Embassy site in Tokyo to see about the procedure. The
site is thorough and informative and renewing the passport is
surprisingly simple. He filled out the details online, downloaded the
application form, printed it out, and signed it.
He brought all the necessary documents with him to the Embassy and the
renewal process took about half an hour. He was told the new passport
should be in the mail in three weeks. That's all, no hassle, easy as
pie.
The Australian government scored a big point for themselves there. Well
done.
