Kinkakuji (Golden Pavilion) (2009-04-07)
We met with Serlina and David early in the morning at Osaka Station's Central ticket gates with our luggage and headed to Kyoto. After storing all our bags at our hotel, we went straight to the bus stop for Kinkakuji outside Kyoto Station. The line was not yet long at 8:50 AM. The ride took 40 minutes and a short walk led us to the famous temple.
Kinkakuji is as shiny as the last time KL and I saw it over 10 years
ago, but somehow we weren't as overwhelmed this time. Afterwards,
we got on the same bus across the road to return to Kyoto Station for
lunch.
