It helps to have local Bangaloreans take you to eat since they know where the good food is. Vegetarian is popular there, and beef and pork are not eaten.
Japanese colleagues who've been to India cautioned KL about drinking water there, some even advised him to brush his teeth with bottled water (which he heeded). An interesting aspect in restaurants is that bottled water achieve the same status as fine wine as servers will show the diners the water like they would a bottle of wine before opening it in front of them.
KL took some pictures of the food he ate in Bangalore.
P.S. The only restaurant he highly recommended in Bangalore is Olive Beach but he didn't take any pictures there.
