New Look For Our Garden (2011-12-19)
When we came back from our Sydney/HK trip, our "front garden" looked miserable. The 10-yr-old rosemary got knocked out by the typhoon, the other plants shriveled and KL's berries which he neglected to care for were a mess.
I finally got some fence to tie the berries onto, cleared out all
the dead plants, and replaced them with brand new ones I got
online.
That tiny little patch of land might not mean a thing to people who live in the lap of luxury of proper front and back yards in the western world, but it is very precious for an apartment in Tokyo to have that bit of soil to play with. We value that a lot.
