Kanten Drink (2006-09-27)
You can now drink kanten (agar-agar) instead of the traditional way of consumption which is in small cubes in desserts. KL received a free can in a street promotion and for the sake of research purpose, I took a sip of this new product.
The drink is sweet and sort of thick. It tastes like 7-Up
without the fizzle (a flat soda? Hmmmm...). I wouldn't say
it is a yucky taste but I
wouldn't buy the product myself. If I want fiber in my diet, I'll
go eat an apple or munch on some celery sticks (with a dip of course),
not down some viscous
opaque kanten liquid that also includes half a dozen chemical-sounding
names in its composition.
