Where To Go To See Autumn Color Change In Tokyo (2004-11-25)

Tokyo Metro subway system has put out a booklet that tells people where to go to view Fall foliage color change around Tokyo which is accessible by subway.  To those who are interested in seeing it, you still have time to make your trip here (as long as you come here before mid-December).  Even if the color change is over once you arrive in Tokyo, there is always so much to see other than leaves.

According to the booklet, the following places are what they suggest:
Kudanshita, Kichijoji (kanji) and Mita on Tousai Line,
Gorakuen and Shinjukugyoenmae on Marunouchi (kanji) Line,
Aoyama (kanji) Icchome and Gaienmae on Ginza (kanji) Line
Komazawa and Touritsukinutakoen Park in Youga on Hanzoumon Line (kanji)
Toritsukomazawa Olympic Park near Komazawadaigaku Station on Tokyodenentoshi Line
Kitanomarukoen Park near Takebashi Station on Tousai Line

The booklet also names a few places where one can go see changing color and relax in onsen (hot spring).
Tokyo Dome City Spa Laqua in Gorakuen on Marunouchi Line
Seta Onsen's Sanganoyu in Youga on Hanzoumon Line
Oedo Higashiyama Onsen in Ikejiriouhashi on Tokyudenentoshi Line
