Cash In Trash (2006-05-03)
This time the cash wasn't found in garbage, it was discovered by three workers in an appliances recycle factory. The stash totaled 22,000,000 yen (over US$200,000)!
The workers stumbled upon the money in a used appliance (the news
report didn't specify what kind of appliance) months ago and decided to
keep it, but then the guilt got to them and so they went to the police
to fess up recently. The appliance in which the money was found
has long been broken into pieces in the factory and the police couldn't
even begin to investigate who the dodo bird was that stored money in an
appliance.
The workers said they kept the money for all this time only to give
it up because they got scared to even use it. They should've come
to me, I would be glad to spend it for them!
