Berg Cafe (2007-07-02)
Tokyo may be a metropolitan town, but trying to find a place for a decent breakfast early in the morning is not so easy 'cause most shops don't open till 10 am. Although the few chain coffee shops offer the usual breakfast beverages, you seldom find bacon and eggs on their menu. A variety of bread is what you may find in these shops.
There is however a tiny cafe called Berg inside Shinjuku (
) station
near the east exit that serves good coffee and made-to-order
breakfast. Their cost is pretty reasonable too. KL and I
have eaten there way back when we were traveling tourists in
1999. I don't remember what we ate that morning, but for a coffee
shop to last this long, the food can't be too bad.
