IV Is What Keeps Daifoo Alive (2009-07-08)
Just like last treatment, Daifoo finished his course on the second day.
His life or I should say health, has come down to this: He will lose
appetite and become dehydrated at some stage, then he'll be admitted
for IV fluids and nutrients and he'll get well. Then he'll lose
appetite again and the cycle repeats itself.
The vet asked me to carefully think about Daifoo's future regarding
the course of action: We can either give him the expensive
treatment of IV fluid and nutrients replacement which may give him
momentary wellness at best or we can force-feed Daifoo liquid diet till
he gets so weak that his body will give out.
How can I possibly make that decision?
