Jumbo Loto (2004-12-09)
Year-end Jumbo Loto is here. It went on sale on a recent Monday and some very eager Japanese started waiting in line the Saturday night before that in some suburbs! Loto tickets are sold in every loto stand, so I don't understand what the rush was for.
I walked past the main street near Tokyo International Forum
building close to JR Yurakucho Station that Monday and saw literally
THOUSANDS of people waiting patiently in line to buy loto
tickets. Do these people realize the odd of winning the jackpot
(about US 3 million)? It's something like one in 70
million. All I can say is: Good Luck, crazy people.
