Weekend In Ginza (2006-03-31)
The Chuo-dori Street and Harumi-dori Street area in Ginza (
) is closed to traffic on Saturdays and Sundays in the
afternoon. The eight narrow blocks--called Chome--in the area are
filled with ritzy shops and department stores. Tables and chairs are put out in the closed street for pedestrians
and perhaps tired window shoppers to rest their poor feet. And
after browsing all those expensive shops, one can fetch a sushi meal in
nearby Tsukiji (
) Fish Market.
