Breakfast At Hang Heung's Kitchen In Airport (2007-02-28)

We didn't have time to eat the delicious congee and fried dough in that noodle shop in Mongkok on this trip, but we managed to eat it for breakfast at Hang Heung in the airport before we boarded the plane back to Tokyo.  The set cost HK$43/US$5.4 with a choice of congee with fried dough or rice rolls or other things on the menu which I forget.

The fish congee I chose was good, it wasn't fishy whatsoever and the congee quite creamy, the way I like it.  The rice rolls were excellent and chock full of dried shrimps.  But the fried dough was not good.  It tasted stale and reheated by refrying.  Well, it IS the airport, so I wasn't expecting too much anyway.
