People Have Gone Mad Over Donuts (2007-03-04)
KL was in Shinjuku (
) the other day and thought he would
check out the newly opened Krispy Kreme. He couldn't believe what
he saw. The huge line of people at the door coiling several loops
and around the building would make one think Krispy Kreme was giving
away money instead of selling sugar-laden high fat carbs.What's with those people? They are just donuts! And just
Krispy Kreme! Well, I guess different people have
different priorities and for those in the line, they really wanted
their KK donuts no matter how long it'd take to get their hands on some.
KL of course wouldn't bother joining the queue. So he went to
Doughnut Plant
and got a cakey donut. It was much better than the
ones we had last time in that it was chocolate throughout and cake-like
and fresh (this time we ate it as soon as he got home and not let it
sit in the fridge for hours). We got our donut fix without him
having to spend a lot of time buying it. That just makes so much
sense.
