Mount Fuji Trivia And Our Shopping (2011-06-16)

Mount Fuji is well-defined on a fog-less day

Noutori

Doesn't really look like a bird though

Shibazakura festival near Lake Motosuko

This is the shibazakura, so called because they resemble a sakura (cherry blossom) flower and grow on the ground forming a pink lawn (shiba means lawn)

Ahhhh, I regret not visiting it while we were in Kawaguchiko...SIGH...

Mini Mount Fuji (1/1000 of the real mountain)

Onsen (hot spring) foot bath inside the park

As in any onsen, you have to wash the body first,

then soak

Soaking while

enjoying the view

Viewing was open till 5/29 this year

It's only a 30-min bus ride from Kawaguchiko

Bought this at the shop in Honohana Museum. This just reminds us of Efoo when he's feisty, biting and all out disgusting

Turn it around and it reminds us when Efoo's dead, he'll become a good little angel

Bought these at Herb Hall

Pretty little yellow buds

Our shopping

Red and white wine jelly

Eight in a box

Strong wine aroma

but not in taste

Braised scallops

What?! This is it??

Let's look back at the replica in the shop

Look at all those plump big scallops!

They look nothing like the fat scallops we were expecting

Ate them over rice with chopped scallions. (tasted fishy to me)
