Second Half Of Our Malaysian Trip (2004-10-28)
A Twin Towers model just in front of the immigration counters in KL Airport. There's no sign that says photographs are not allowed, in fact there were a couple of officers around me and they didn't seem to care what I was doing so I took its picture.
This staff at KL airport is to straighten all bags that land on to the baggage carousel to a horizontal position
Our van from the travel agency
The tour guide said "this is the longest flagpole in the world."
We visited the outside of the biggest mosque in kuala Lumpur. The small clock on the left gives the time for sun rise, the one on far right tells the sun set time. The five clocks in between gives the time for praying during the day. The purple robes on the right side of the stairs are for women muslims to put on before entering the mosque
Rows upon rows of faucets for people to wash their hands (and feet?) before entering the mosque to pray
The large painting on the wall of the museum we visited
Visited the outside of the Palace
Guards at the Palace gates
Parliament
The street in between the Parliament and Independence Square
Old central station
Our hotel
Looking down from our hotel room window at night
Monorail station in Bukit Bintang
This monorail train is painted red
A yellow monorail train pulling up the platform
Inside the monorail train, every handle strap becomes an advertising space
The monorail pass we got from our guide
We took a train to Pasa seni to Central Market. Its station is quite clean
A train ticket purchased at the counter. It's different from the card-like tickets you get from a ticket machine
Petaling Street is the main shopping street in China Town. Most of the cramped stalls that line the street sell counterfeit merchandise
The streets in China Town are mostly run down, dirty and very old
We went to Central Market by train. There are many stalls selling typical souvenirs for tourists
There are also stalls outside the market building
The surrounding streets of Central Market are pretty dirty. This picture actually makes them appear clean
A variety of Malaysian dishes sold outside Central Market
This food stall sells fried food on a stick. They are all one color, pretty strange
I startled this man who sells unnatural-looking juices. Sorry buddy
A police box
Many motor cyclists in Kuala Lumpur like to wear their jackets backwards while driving their motorbikes
Crossing the roads in Kuala Lumpur takes guts
