Smoked Mozzarella (2007-06-14)
I asked KL to bring back some smoked mozzarella from a cheese shop while he's out running errands. He did but what a shocker that was! Shocked because of the price. I had no idea it's such an expensive cheese, 1503Yen/US$12.5 for 179gm/6oz!
The cheese does have a deep smoky aroma with a mild taste that melts
very easily. I used it to make a vegetable panini and it was
delicious. "Vegetable panini" because there's no money left to
buy meat to put in the sandwich!
