Tsuki no Shizuku Izakaya (2007-07-19)

Should have posted this entry a month ago but I kept forgetting to write up the day when KL's friend from his highschool era, R visited us in June and we took him and his girlfriend K to an izakaya for dinner.

Tsuki no Shizuku is a typical Japanese pub whose main purpose is to provide a place for friends to have a relaxing time over drinks and appetizer-size food, grilled chicken on sticks being the most popular.  This restaurant belongs to the group which also runs a host of other izakayas including this one, so the menu is similar in both eateries.

They also have similar private rooms which is what we got that night.  Servers responded quickly to our bell and showed up promptly outside our room to take our orders or deliver food, always remembering to knock and say "Excuse me" first of course.  R and K eat like a bird so we didn't order many dishes, their small appetite clearly manifests their obviously fit bodies compared to our healthy appetite and healthy frames...(sigh).

Food's passable and no one dish stood out as exceptional.  The large drinks menu and private rooms setting do provide a cozy place for supping and catching up with friends.
