Tokyo Midtown Has A Lot Of Art Things (2008-05-30)

There's artsy stuff throughout Tokyo Midtown to enhance the classiness of the establishment, I suppose?  Me being me, I don't get any of the art pieces.  I don't get ART, period.  I've seen a painting in The Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney where the entire 6-ft by 5-ft picture is painted jet-black.  Nothing else's on it..  And I was thinking "What the hell is that?".  I've also seen three chairs stacked at an angle and displayed as art.  And I was thinking "Someone please go straighten those chairs".  I'm not trying to belittle art here.  Obviously there are many intelligent people in this world who thrive on art, and museums and galleries make them happy.  I'm just not those people, that's all.

Whoa, I totally digress.  My point is, the space occupied by those art pieces and sculptures and whatnot in Tokyo Midtown could've been used toward more "functional" setups such as food shops or even gardens in this proletarian's eye.  Bwahahahahaha!!
