Ocean Day (2004-07-19)
Today is Uminohi (Ocean Day), a national holiday. It's hot and humid, may be people really will go to the beach to spend a day in the ocean. KL hasn't had a long weekend for a while now, so he's really enjoying the day home. We went to Ueno (

this past Saturday and ordered a bicycle. He's been thinking of
getting one since we came to Japan but he never could make up his
mind all this time. It only took KL five years to finally get
one! Before we went to this cycle shop, he did his research on the
internet for weeks and picked out the
brand and model after checking out numerous sites online and visiting
stores in person. He was all set to buy a white Giant
Cross 3200 at this store in Ueno and like most things in life, they
seldom turn out the way you plan them. We saw a handsome bike
next to the Giant and fell for it immediately. Even though
it didn't have the color KL wanted, he ended up buying it at the
end. It is a gray Louis Garneau LGS Six. The bike won't be
delivered to us until Aug 22nd. KL's waited five years to get
this, what's another five weeks?
