Truc Linh 1, Banh Mi (2009-12-29)
After googling for a place to grab lunch, we found Truc Linh 1. It has three branches close to each other, but the #1 location looks the most promising.
Actually I had the best dish in Nha Trang at that restaurant which
was fried squid balls. The coating was crunchy and the balls
bouncy and fresh. The grilled tiger prawns were also fresh and
good although they could use some salt on them. The deep-fried
wings were bad as they were fried to death resulting in bone dry
meat.
After lunch, we walked around the area a bit and saw a banh mi
hawker doing some brisk business. Since I hadn't had any good
baguette in Nha Trang yet, I got one to bring to the hotel. The
baguette itself was disappointingly soft but the filling was pretty
tasty with the coriander, pickled vegies and chili sauce.
