Great Location (2010-11-29)

To be fair, there's one very good thing about Saint Augustin: its location.  Big Gare Saint-Lazare Station (second busiest in Paris) is only 1.5 minutes away to the north and a smaller metro (carrying different lines) Saint-Augustin is about the same distance to the south.

Seven minutes (I timed ourselves) on foot takes you to Printemps (big department store) and Galeries Lafayette (an even bigger department store) which are surrounded by a whole lot of other stores and restaurants.

Monoprix, a large supermarket chain, is three minutes away.  It's also a mid-sized hypermarket which also carries kitchenware, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, and clothing etc.

A mini version, Monop', is a few feet from the hotel which must have long operating hours because we never saw it close except on Sunday. (most stores close on Sundays)

There are also many restaurants, shops and a large pharmacy near the hotel.
