Kam Wah Pineapple Buns (2012-03-09)
I have a new love for pineapple buns! It's no longer Hong Lin (although theirs are still excellent), I'm gonna go to Kam Wah from now on!
I saw Kam Wah's pineapple buns on Hong Kong TV and decided to give
it a try. We even went to get one from both cafes to do a taste
test. Hong Lin's was 9/10, Kam Wah's a perfect 10. The bun
was fluffily soft and the topping crunchy minus the vanilla taste
that's present in Hong Lin's bun.
I liked Kam Wah's pineapple bun so much we returned to have afternoon tea at the cafe although KL loathes going to Mongkok.
Both restaurants are basically on the same street (although
different addresses), do a taste test yourself and see what you think.
