Changing Fur (2012-05-28)
I thought all types of long-haired cats have long hair when they were kittens. Well, Efoo proves that's not the case at all.
Efoo sported such short hair as a kitten that we thought he's a
short-haired cat (with a mutated bushy tail). But then he "exploded"
into a giant fur ball before he reached one.
There are parts of his body whose hair changes seasonally. An
obvious place is behind his ears. Every year toward the end of
summer, it thins out and eventually disappears completely. By mid
winter, it sprouts back up, gets bushy, then curly! So weird.
