Rikugien Part I (2016-01-07)
Went to Rikugien (please Google this famous park) to see the illumination of their maple trees at night on a Saturday last December. It wasn't a fun outing simply because of the sheer volume of people that night.
There were hordes of visitors shuffling along the narrow winding
dark footpaths and jostling for a spot to take the perfect photos,
creating
bottleneck congestion at times. It was such an
unpleasant experience KL and I noped the hell out not even halfway
through the park.
Reminder to self: NEVER go to Rikugien for light-up illuminations on a weekend!
