We All Grew Up (2005-12-11)
One of KL's friend from his high school era came to Tokyo for some sightseeing in October. We met up for lunch just before they had to board a plane back to their home in Hong Kong.
I had never met this friend of his but heard lots about him.
As usual, his face turned out to be nothing like what I had imagined it
would look like. His wife and their two-year-old daughter also
came and the family spent time visiting various touristy spots
including Tokyo Disneyland.
Seeing KL's friend push their little girl in a stroller reminds me of my brother and his wife visiting us with their two-yr-old whom they also pushed around in a pram in 2001. Now my neice is in primary school, hardly a baby anymore, and you'd have a tough time coaxing her into a pram.
One minute you are moseying along with pals in high school, and next
minute your pals have kids of their own. It is a very scary fact
of life (the fast growing up part, not the kid part).
