Hot Pink Sakuras (2006-04-07)

There are numerous kinds of sakura--cherry blossoms.  Speaking like a pro, I can tell you there are the pink ones, the white ones, the white-with-pink-center ones and the pink frilly petal ones.  I'm sure you have a very clear picture of what I've just described to you.

The point is I saw a very pretty cherry tree the other day.  It stood alone amongst several others which produce the common white sakuras.  This one is short compared to the other big ones and its flowers are in clusters hanging up-side-down.  The color of the blooms is fuchsia, almost like a hot pink.  They're just gorgeous.

These sakura clusters are different from the normal round flat pale pink sakuras, but they are just as enjoyable to look at as any.
