Growing Garlic (2006-06-29)
I had several cloves of garlic a few months ago that had developed tiny roots. As an experiment, I stuck them in a pot of soil to see if anything would happen to them. Over the past months green shoots started coming out of the soil and gradually drying up.
Yesterday seeing the shoots had completely dried out, I dug the
cloves out. As expected, all the cloves have grown into proper
garlic heads although they aren't nearly as big as the ones in the
stores. Garlic is a truly easy plant to grow, but time consuming.
