Roasted Chestnuts From Kichijoji (2006-12-02)
I mentioned that I find the best roasted chestnuts are those from a tiny shop in Kichijoji (
) just outside the station. You

in this entry when you click on the photo for that day.After not eating them for ages, KL brought a bag home the other day.
The chestnuts weren't as overwhelmingly yummy as when they are freshly
roasted and still hot after you crack open the shell. But the
meat was still sweet and tender.
Autumn, leaves changing colors, roasted chestnuts, all good stuff.
