Hong Kong's wanton noodles in Tokyo (2004-07-17)

When I go to Hong Kong, I always eat wanton noodles. I just love those shrimp dumplings in clear broth and thin chewy noodles.  When we ate that in HK's Chiki Restaurant, they told us its first branch has opened in Tokyo's Shibuya (kanji).  I had made a mental note then to try it when we got back to Japan.

We finally made it to Shibuya last week.  The restaurant is located on the 7th floor of Parco Department Store.  The food was great.  Its wanton noodles tasted almost the same as those in Hong Kong.  The biggest surprise was the dessert.  We both ordered the very local Hong Kong dessert red bean soup with tofu topping.  It was just yummy.  I'm glad we went to the restaurant otherwise we would have missed out on some tasty food we grew up eating.
