This Is One Big Fish (2009-06-02)
Once in a while if you're lucky, you can watch a fish monger perform a "Kaitai Hanbai" at their shop which means they'll cut a whole tuna into pieces for sale in front of shoppers. Usually such show will draw large crowds and as soon as the tuna pieces are dished into styrofoam trays, people go crazy and literally snatch them off the hands of the monger. It's wild!
KL and I came across such a show just 20 minutes before it was due
to start, but we didn't stay to watch! Our bags were full of
grocery we just bought and didn't want to hang around although we had
never watched a Kaitai performance in person. I did take several
photos of the fish though.
