Ginza Meza Marushe (2010-06-12)

Ginza (kanji) Meza Marushe (Meza Marche) is a 13-storied building dedicated to selling special omiyage (mostly food products) from different regions of Japan, a brainchild of Fuji TV here.

Omiyage (souvenirs) occupies the basement floor to 10th floor (but 9th floor is a travel agency and 8th floor is office) while cafes and a cooking school take up the rest.  The building is skinny and small, so floor space isn't big at all.  There really are some interesting specialty food items from various regions such as Matsuzaka Beef chips and Kurobuta pork chips!

Update (Feb 7,2011): A reader's question led me to check Marushe's website and it looks like they are selling omiyage on four floors only. What a shame.
