Restaurant Space Lisboa (2012-03-29)

Day 6, 2/23

After checking out of Venetian, we decided to grab lunch before leaving for our next hotel in downtown Macau.

There are two Portuguese restaurants we wanted to try near the hotel.  Both are located in the Coloane area (further south from Venetian) and would cost similar taxi fare.  At the end we chose Space Lisboa.

It's a quaint little restaurant in a very quiet neighborhood.  Our server was most friendly and here's what I thought about the food:

Clams with garlic, white wine and coriander: easily the best dish of our entire Macau trip.

Fried Bacalao balls: A tad fishy, mostly made up of mashed potato, tried them once and that's enough for us.

Duck rice: Lots of shredded duck meat (that tasted like duck confit) buried in rice studded with chopped Portuguese sausages and bacon and grilled till the top was crispy.  It's like eating duck confit with rice in a reverse clay pot rice style!

Overall, a very nice meal.  Next time we will try Fernando.
