Toshogu Shrine (2004-04-14)
We discovered a small shrine called Toshogu Shrine while taking a
stroll in Ueno (
) Park with Fung during his visit last month.
The shrine is built to honor the first Tokugawa Shogun ( General
Tokugawa). The walkway which leads to the shrine is lined with
stone laterns and there are fifty more copper laterns throughout.
A couple of cherry trees inside provide a popular backdrop for picture
taking. If you happen to go to Ueno Park, why not check it
out. No entry fee is required.
