Konishiki's Restaurant (2008-05-24)
You probably don't know who Konishiki is if you don't live in Japan, unless you're really into sumo wrestling. He is an ex sumo wrestler who won numerous matches and titles in his prime time. An Hawaiian native, konishiki delves into various business ventures upon retirement which inevitably involve a Hawaiian theme. One of the businesses he owns is this restaurant whose menu features Hawaiian-influenced Japanese food in humongous portions.
Not that I have eaten there, but I've seen enough TV shows showing his restaurant dishes that turned me off. Large servings of run-of-the-mill everyday menu fare do not entice me.
