Beach Restaurant (2009-12-17)
After we settled in the room and got comfortable in our new environment, it was almost dinner time. It was dark, raining (in fact most of our days in Nha Trang saw overcast sky and short drizzling periods) and we weren't in the mood to venture out of the hotel. So we decided to eat at their Beach Restaurant where there's a bi-weekly buffet; ours was Seafood & Meat BBQ for US$28+ + p/p.Service was again impeccable with the head waitress walking us
through every dish on the tables before we began. I loved their
salads (mostly Asian or Vietnamese using tons of herbs) but the grilled
meat was a bit bland and tough. The seafood wasn't marinated so
it was bland too and the sauces on offer weren't too impressive.
When I was checking out the sauce selection, I asked which one had fish sauce in it and the chef immediately asked a staff to bring me a whole bottle of fish sauce! That's the kind of service you get in Ana Mandara.
