Dam Market (2009-12-20)
Not having the least interest to visit any temples, pagodas or the Buddha (or any water sports such as scuba diving for that matter), we chose one place to see: their market. Dam Market is the largest in Nha Trang which combines food stalls and a whole host of non-food shops.Merchandise is significantly cheaper than Tokyo's and haggling is
the way to go. We later learned that even locals dicker when they
shop for grocery in the wet market, I think that's a very tiring thing
to do day in and day out. I don't like this kind of shopping
where I have to haggle, I'm not good at it and I always feel cheated no
matter how much bargain I manage to negotiate from the original asking
price. Why can't merchants just do an honest trade?
