Ghost Storytelling In Summer (2004-08-24)
When a group of Japanese get together, telling ghost stories is a common pastime but they particularly like to do it in summer. Why you ask? Our past Japanese teacher tells us that scary ghost stories cause listeners to have goose bumps, thus cooling them on a hot summer night. May be Japanese can start the custom of telling jokes in winter, you know...funny jokes get people laughing...thus warming them on cold nights...sort of...
