Nantsutei Ramen (2010-09-14)
The black oil that floats on the soup of Nantsutei ramen is special sesame oil in which Japanese green onion has been fried for a long time. It adds a deep aroma to the already thick pork bone-based broth. The noodles (I chose skinny noodles) were just a tad floury but not
bad overall. All the other toppings were superb: soft creamy egg,
melt-in-the-mouth charsui, and crunchy bean sprouts made my bowl of
ramen super delicious.
