I Did Not Win A Trip (2004-11-20)
I was in Ueno (
) shopping the other day and ran into a
promotion campaign in a shopping complex. You should see the
number of staff employed to promote the
competition. They were dressed in colorful costumes and playing
musical instruments to attract passersby and potential customers.I was given a ticket with my purchase and got a chance to win a trip
should I be lucky enough to draw the right color ball out of the
barrel. With my track record in prize-winning competition, I did
not win any trip of course. But I was allowed to take as many
candies as my hand could grab
out of a box. Well, candies are no trip, but they are still
better than pocket tissues which are often given as consolation in
prize draws. I get those on the streets everywhere free!
