Lao Yao Ji, Ice Monster, Hsin Tong Yang Haul (2017-01-02)
It was around 5pm when we settled into our room. First order of business was early dinner at a local Hong Kong style restaurant well praised for their roast duck. But when we got there, it was sold out! Not in the mood to explore and look for another place to eat, we stayed for the only BBQ meat left which was charsui and chicken.
Not only was the food NOTHING like what we ate in Hong Kong, it was
downright SUCKY.
We walked to nearby Ice Monster for mango dessert after dinner and
what do you know? Fresh mango that accompanied their shaved
ice dessert was sold out too! So we opted for pineapple which was
tart.
We did our first shopping in Taipei at Hsin Tung Yan a couple of doors down before heading back to the hotel.
