Purple Japanese Yam (2007-01-25)
Like the Japanese yams with the yellow flesh, the purple-fleshed ones are just as super dry and super floury. KL likes them though, so he got a small bag home. I cooked it the typical Hong Kong sweet soup style which is diced yam in sugared water with a bit of grated ginger and he loved it. I dislike Japanese yams so this is one homemade dessert he can have it all to himself.Back to top
