Food KL Ate In LA (2007-03-08)
The 3-day convention in California provided all meals, but with an attendance number in the thousands, the food was expectedly mediocre, some downright sucked. So KL and his colleagues went out to hunt for real food themselves a few times. He said most meals were only so-so including a disappointingly non-juicy IN-N-OUT Burger. All of his colleagues wanted Japanese food the day they arrived in
Los Angeles. I can see how a Japanese would want to travel ten
hours on a plane and immediately crave sushi the minute they get to a
foreign land. Hmmmm... On the next night, the same people
after failing to find a Thai restaurant, wanted sushi again!
WHA??! (Not that the sushi was so great the first time they wanted to
return) Since it was late and KL was the only one in the group who
wanted something, anything, other than Japanese food, he gave in and
ate with them.
The only time KL had an above-average meal was the steak dinner he
had with two workmates at Morton's on their last night in LA.
Thank gosh it wasn't Japanese food.
