The Rides Don't Make Me Too Happy (2007-05-09)
We spent a good amount of time in queues in DisneySea for all the rides except for a couple which thankfully had short lines. I guess that's pretty much the same in all theme parks during holiday seasons. After riding the Indiana Jones and Center of the Earth rides whose
twists and turns almost made me puke (I had my eyes shut tight almost
the entire time on "fast" rides to minimize the feeling of
dizziness), I
figured my stomach had suffered enough churning and torture for a
day. So I watched
Samuel and KL do the roller coasters (even KL had to pass on the
360-degree loop Raging Spirits) and Aquatopia (Aquatopia is juvenile
compared to Indiana Jones) on the
sideline. (Whao, my writing sucks. So many brackets because
I can't compose the sentences together better, sorry.)
Don't let me fool you into thinking the rides in DisneySea are so
awesomely powerful that you can get astronaut-grade centrifugal
training there. It's just that I'm extremely useless with ANY
ride that makes even a sudden turn of ONE degree. The only ride I
felt truly enjoyable was the Sindbad's Storybook Voyage where you sit
motionless in a boat proceeding at the speed of snail through a narrow
canal. They let children under three get into those boats, so you
can imagine how tame they are, which is exactly my cup of tea!
Samuel's comment on every ride seems to be that "It's too
short!". Yeah, for those who are not afraid of being tossed
around in lil' cars, a five-minute ride could seem too short especially
when you have to wait in line for an hour for it.
