Another Successful Batch Of Salted Eggs (2007-11-13)
Salted eggs ready for harvest
A ring of crystalized salt forms on the edge
The bag of salty water didn't burst
Somehow the brine level mysteriously decreases
By 3.5 cm/1.25 inch
Beautiful orange color salted yolk
The whites go to the freezer for future use
That night I made salted yolk with prawns
Instead of deep frying the marinated prawns, I parboiled them with garlic to flavor them
Then I stirfried the steamed yolk in oil
And added the prawns, and seasoned them with pinch of salt
Voila! Next time I need to use more yolks, this one didn't taste much of salted yolks...
