Brasserie Paul Bocuse Le Musee (2009-05-16)
Cone-shaped restaurant
Left side of the restaurant
Right side of the restaurant, haha
Restaurant exit area (staff were doing last minute preparation before opening)
The little table in front of the restaurant. (the Spring special: 5 white asparagus with hollandaise sauce for US$38!!!)
We were there for this!
Interior
Tables
A hook behind every table for bags
Setting
KL's goofing around with the napkin
The complimentary baguette was very nice (crunchy and wheaty), and they gave us a refill!
Appetizer was good. I liked the orange, tomato and olive sauce
Entree/Main was good too, but very predictable taste (Grilled beef filet with red wine sauce and asparagus gratin with prosciutto
The filet was cooked perfectly to a super duper tender medium
Gateau Opera with apricot coulis and Pistachio ice cream, both were delicious. The cake had a bitter chocolatey coffee flavor, I liked it
KL added 380Yen for the coffee
The check was brought to the table in a folder
with the ever-present picture of Michelin chef Paul Bocuse inside
I counted about 90 people waiting for a table when we left the restaurant around 1230pm
Leaving the Art Center main entrance to walk to Tokyo Midtown
Tokyo Midtown is right ahead
We took the short walk to Tokyo Midtown and got this for dinner from Dean & Deluca
Bread from Preece supermarket there
I think gravlax (lower right) is overrated. I'd rather have smoked salmon instead
Dinner. The porcini paste is delicious on toasted baguette
