Sweet Dynasty (2005-09-30)

Sweet Dynasty restaurant

The restaurant sign

Several popular menu items are advertised outside the restaurant. Wonton noodles costs four times as much as an average bowl in HK...Ouch!

The décor

Jacky Chan left his autograph on the wall

The history of "Tong-Sui" (Sweet soup/Chinese dessert) is explained on this piece of paper on the table

Japan flag and Hong Kong SAR flag adorn the restaurant

The restaurant sells dimsum and dessert to go. The heart-shaped mango pudding is a big hit with the Japanese

KL's wonton noodles

My wonton noodles

HK style bouncy and chewy noodles

Steamed roast pork buns were nowhere near the real thing

Steamed rice rolls stuffed with large crunchy prawns, not quite as good as the real thing but certainly passable here. But the chef seemed to have forgotten to add salt in these rice rolls, even the sweetened soy sauce wasn't enough to season them

KL's tofu dessert

The tofu was super soft which glided right down the throat
