Hopefully No More Wounded Digits (2007-05-23)
I'm glad I can finally toss my old Mandoline set which without a protective holder over any piece of vegetable I was working on perpetually shredded (or grated) my fingers too. So many a time have I sported fingers covered with a bandage or two which is frustrating (and painful) to me and worrisome for KL.
I've just bought a brand new Mandoline set with better features than
my old one from Amazon Japan (You've gotta love online shopping).
They offer free delivery if the purchase is only 1500 Yen (about US$14)
and mine qualifies by just 80 Yen, whew! Since it is already on
sale when I purchased it, I really did save a good deal on the actual
cost and shipping.
I love the new set. Shredding or slicing or grating is no longer a hazadous operation for me thanks for the finger guard. The set also comes with its own up-right covered storage unit, a great idea for our tiny tiny kitchen.
