We Begin Our Trip With Ramen (2007-10-01)
Finally! Here's the Sydney trip travelogue which began with two bowls of ramen.
Before we took the Keisei Line train in Ueno (
), we
stopped by a ramen shop in Ameyoko to grab an early dinner. The
tasty ramen was a herald of good food to come in Sydney.
The half-filled flight to Sydney was good. Dinner was actually
delicious and we had the 4-seat row to ourselves so I was able to lay
my head down at times. Although breakfast sucked to high heaven,
I wasn't peeved a bit because my sister-in-law Rachel had invited us to
have dim sum before we even left Tokyo. I
wasn't going to eat breakfast on the plane anyway.
This trip won't be recorded chronologically for ease of organizing
and documentation on my part. Tomorrow you shall meet my family.
