Korean BBQ Dinner And Some Night Shots (2009-04-01)
After lunch, Serlina and David continued their neverending shopping while KL and I went back to the hotel to rest after we picked up cakes for next day's breakfast in Sogo department store. (motto: when on holidays, eat cakes for brekkie!)Before we met up for dinner again, KL searched for a Korean BBQ
restaurant in the area on the free computer in Serlina's hotel and
found the perfect one. It was very close to our subway station,
inexpensive, has chicken on their menu (David's request) and has
private rooms; he even printed out a 10% discount coupon!
Goen turns out to be excellent. Food was incredibly cheap (I
think each person paid about 1700Yen/US$17 including drinks with the
10% off) and
delicious. We had our own room so I could take pictures WITH
flash to my heart's content. Ordering is completely done on the
touch screen even down to the request for more chopsticks and water
etc.
There's just one drawback for those who can't read Japanese: there's
no English on the menu. Otherwise, I highly recommend this
restaurant.

Midosuji Line, Shinsaibashi station, Exit #7. Turn right on
street level, keep walking till you pass Apple store, walk 3 blocks,
it's on the right just inside a side street. Goen is so brightly
lit that you'd have to be blind to miss it.
