Department Store Senbei (2011-06-26)
Senbei (Japanese rice crackers) come in many flavors, shapes and forms. Supermarkets carry your everyday types people buy to snack at home. For gift-giving, department stores is the answer. We've bought numerous boxes of fancy senbei for friends before but
never for ourselves (because there's really no point of paying all that
extra money on beautiful packaging for your own consumption I
guess).
However KL got a small pack for me when he's out shopping one
day. It's rather expensive at 525Yen/US$6.3 for just a few
chips. But a pack does contain half a prawn and the rest of the
senbei are very "prawny" and delicious.
